Default Alex's well check

Laura's post about Joseph reminded me to post about Alex's appointment. I took him for his 15-month well check on the 3rd.

He weighed 23lbs, 10oz...with his arm cast. So he's probably a little lighter than that. He was 32 1/2 inches long. He's taller than the girls were at that age and they're among the tallest in their classes.

She was impressed that he's doing as well as he is, given the nature of his connective tissue issues. (That sounds funny. He, he, he

He's still allergic to milk/dairy so we have him on soy milk and we're avoiding all dairy until 18 months, but it will probably be longer than that.

Once he gets his braces tomorrow, it should bring on a whole new buddy...hopefully.

Sounds like he's growing great!

Have you researched soy milk with little boys? I didn't know about it until I was researching to help with my whacked out hormone problems a few yrs ago, but soy is a very strong estrogen. Its something to research to see if you are comfortable with it or look for an alternative.

Sounds like you have a strong little man (and big!)..

I bet he loves the braces as it will help him learn to be more independent quickly.

OK -- I've missed way more than I should have the last few months, but you need to fill me in on the connective tissue issues (and, yes, it does sound funny, even though I'm sure it really isn't). I knew about the arm, but must have missed diagnosis day for the other part. I thought it was something like low muscle tone that was going to be addressed with PT/OT...

Sending hugs to you and your BEAUTIFUL family!!!
