Another ear infection! Ages & Stages

I brought ds in today because he has a bad cough/cold that has not gotten better in a week or so. He has ear infections in both ears-again. This is his 4th ear infection since August and his 5th time on antibiotics for his ears (one infection didn't resolve with the first round). Doc said that if he keeps getting infections after the cold weather has passed we will be going to an ent and probably getting tubes.
I feel so bad for him and I just wish I could tell sooner when he had an infection. He is also teething pretty badly so I may have missed the signs a bit this time.

poor kid but tubes would probably solve it I have heard. Hopfully he is not in to much pain

Thanks-I think that is the route we will go if he is still havign trouble in the spring. He only just turned 1 last month, so he is still young too.
To add insult to injury he just fell and hit his eye on the corner of something. He is bleeding and swelling up-a definite shiner in the making!

Oh the poor little guy. Joseph has had a few ear infections too. He seemed to have them every few weeks last winter but so far had only had one this winter. I think the dryer, warmer climate has helped.
Joseph still has a scar on the corner of his eye where he fell into a bench last summer.
