**lurking**

We did not start solids, until 6 months & we started with breakfast. I'll go thru a weekend schedule since during the week I worked & she had EBM.

We would nurse first thing in the morning, then about an hour later we would sit at the table & do breakfast together. She would get rice and then oatmeal cereal. Then nursing the rest of the day. When started adding in veggies, that was at night, for dinner. Eventually we added fruit to breakfast, then a lunch. So for us, nursing & eating solids was really seperate. It would be like we would nurse, then a few hours later it would be time for a solid meal and so on. Hope this helps!

thankseveryone. My only question is what do they "drink" after eating solids ..it seems like he is thirsty....EJ seems to want something when he is done with his cereal/veggie/fruit and it's not more of that

so I have been giving him the cereal with fruit in the morning then nursing. then nursing/EBM during the day then at dinner when we eat more cereal with veggies and then nursing.

Here's Kaitlyn's schedule

*Nurse when she wakes up (could be 5 AM, could be 7 am).
*Breakfast between 8 and 9 AM - Oameal mixed with water or EBM/Formula and 1/2 fruit mixed in. I alternate between the cereal/fruit combo and straight fruit.
*possibly nurse again before nap
*Lunch around 12-1PM - 1 jar of veggie and maybe some fruit - only if she is still hungry which she usually isn't
*Nurse before nap - around 2:30 or so
*Dinner 5-6PM same as breakfast
*Nurse around 7:30 - 9 and down for the night.

She also likes prune/apple juice - I do 1/4 to 1/3 and the rest water - we started this when we were constipated @ 4 months and she loves it, so when I think she is thirsty during meal times, I offer it.

If that is what is working for EJ, then keep on doing it mama!

Well I've noticed that J wants something to drink aftyerwards too. I've been either nursing him right after for a couple mins, or giving him the sippy cup with EBM.
