Default Croup

Please keep Alicia in your prayers.

Kaydence and I both have had colds this week and we assumed the Alicia had one too. However yesterday Leslie called and said Alicia was really having a hard time breathing. She took her to the pediatrician and they said to go IMMEDIATLEY to the ER. It's a good thing we did. While she was in the triage she actually stoped breathing for almost a minute. The Dr. there said he'd been praticing medicine for 7 years and it's the worst case he's ever seen. Alicia (and Leslie) spent lastnight in PICU and will do the same tonight. She's ok now, but is getting regular breathing treatments.

So if your little one seems to be having trouble breathing don't mess around and get them checked out ASAP.

She is still in PICU, but I think they'll move her to regular pediatics and hopefully she might come home tomorrow.

Ipecac breaks up the mucus. I wonder if you could keep it on hand anymore? I know croup can come really sudden and when it does it gets bad. I'm glad Alicia is doing ok.
