Red face Endless Stories

My almost 6 year (Milo) has now taken to telling us HUGE, highly detailed stories when we catch him doing something bad. I asked him last night if he knew who had eaten our baby's crackers and he replied with this long story about the attic monster and how he crept down and Milo saw the lights on the floor and then they were gone, blah blah blah. I have explained to him nicely that his stories are great, but when we are asking him something serious, he needs to be HONEST. Anyone else experiencing this?

LOL Milo has a GREAT imagination! Isn't that supposed to be a sign of intelligence?

Rachel will come up with little lies sometimes but nothing to that extent!

We don't get those stories, maybe he needs a creative writing or drama class!
