I got different advice. With Josh, the regular ped saw a possiblity of the shape of his eye being off, so we went to a specialized eye doctor. He ended up being fine, but the specialist said that a preschool check was in order, especially since dh's vision is terrible, and he started wearing glasses before age 2. We took Josh somewhere else for the actual check, and the dr said this is best time to bring them in, before they start "real" school and can't see.
Even with that advice, you still have awhile!

Brandi, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm sure she's just mimicking you and Mike. Marek likes to put my glasses on, even though he says it looks "funny". I think you'd be able to tell if she didn't see well (sitting or standing very close to the tv, squinting to see things, etc.). I have a friend whose child wore glasses before age 2 like Jeanne's dh, and it was pretty obvious that he was having a tough time.
