Default I am now a girlscout leader

Eek! Me who can't say 2 words in front of an audience without blubbering & practically crying! Yikes! I hope they are able to put me with a co-leader that has some experience.

Guess what too...Daisys starts at 4 1/2 if they are in preschool (here at least) so I was able to sign up Leanna too. I don't know if I will be Rachel's or Leanna's leader, or if they can't get enough leaders for both its possible to do a combined group. I'd rather do brownies, since they do more field trip type things that I'd want to go to. I was told that some of the leaders don't want parents along - they feel a bit threatened like they are being watched or judged. (IMO if my child had a leader like that I'd change troops - especially at this age!)

I was given an ok to pass out a flyer at school. So far I don't know if they will let us have meetings at school. I don't think they will, but I hope they will. If not then hopefully we can use a bldg at a park.

So my 1st training is on the 19th I think. Wish me luck...I've never been a leader type (I didn't say in GScouts long enough I guess

Have fun! That's the one job I have never taken although Alex was a scout from first grade to fourth and Emma was a Daisy and now is a Brownie! I am sure you will do great!

Good luck! You'll do fine!

Daniel's doing Tiget Cubs this year and seems to be enjoying it so far. We really need to start working on electives so he can earn things.

I'm not working a whole lot lately anyway because I can't get motivated! Its too easy to slack off when there's nobody watching you!

I'm also thinking that having more outside interests witll help me be not so bored when I should be working and will help me get motivated again.

I gave the flyers to the school & have 2 training sessions to go to. I'm not sure how long it will take to get troops active.
