Question If you won the lottery, would you continue to work?

Or would you quit? If you quit what would you do instead?

Quit!!!!!!!! I'm not sure what I'd do at first, but at some point I'd probably go back to graduate school. I could happily be a professional student.

I would take a leave of absence but I would not quit work forever.
Well... actually if I did do something else I think I would set up an afterschool program for average students. Kids who come to school, ready to learn, every day... maybe they don't make honor roll or head up the football team, but they're there, they're trying their best. I'd take them on field trips, expose them to people of different backgrounds who have a college education, provide tutoring, have a rec center, etc. Older kids would do budgeting, balancing a checkbook, cooking, post graduate planning, etc.

So in other words, I might not keep doing my current job but I would do something.

I do accounting & I'm pretty sick of it so I'd probably quit - maybe I'd do a few clients just to keep my brain active but maybe not.

I could happily spend my life doing volunteer stuff like for Girlscouts or the PTA. I suppose I could be treasurer so I could do some accounting type work if I really missed it.

YES...I would QUIT! I love working with children, but if I won the lottery I could probably immediately adopt or afford IVF and have a family of my own! I would probably volunteer or write children's books if I didn't have to work!
