I agree with an evaluation can he tell u what he wants each time? Is he playing with toys in a normal way?

He does play with toys normally. He seems to be developing normally with all major milestones, etc. He doesn't say what he wants because he is still learning to talk. He's 16months. He points and will lead you to what he wants. He only acts like this with us. My parents said he is great with them and so did the childcare lady and the gym.

He should be talking a good amount by now. I know because Matthew qualified for speech younger than that. I bet you could get him qualified for speech at least. Easly intervention is key, and hey, if he doesn't qualify for anything then great! I'd get him checked out, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah, I think the other ladies are making a good point. Joseph had a vocabulary of about 25-30 words and phrases by 16 months. So a speech eval might be in order. His issue may be as simple as not bieng able to communicate with you the way he'd like to.
