Wow, I never thought of those silicone muffin trays, they would have been easier! Although I got pretty good getting the cubes out by covering the tray with that sticky-glad wrap stuff & then flipping the tray over & doing the twisting thing. Then I could lay the tray down on the counter, upside down, and peel off the wrap. Then when I lifted the tray, the cubes were in the wrap & not a mess on the counter.

But it sounds like you ladies had a lot more time on your hands to make more than I did! Kendall had all her first foods from stuff I made, except for the ones like mangos, pears, & carrots. I plan on making baby food again the next time around, so I better find another way to get it done!

The ice cube tray didn't work well for me. I bought a box of dixie paper cups and put the food in that set them in the freezer upright until they froze than threw them cup and all into a freezer bag. When I need one I just pull it out and let it thaw on the counter.
