We broke down and got Joseph a potty chair a couple of months ago even though I figured he probably wasn't ready.

Last night at bathtime I had to go and didn't kick him out. So he saw me sitting on the potty so he sat on his potty. I pulled his diaper off to see and he sat on it and faced his little pp down just like daddy does! Nothing happened and he did try again when he saw me look in the potty when he got up. I am just so proud that he tried and got the idea.
 


I think we'll keep that routine up with one of us on the potty w/him before bathtime but we won't push any harder right now. He' not even 2 so he's got time.

We do the same thing here. Molly sits on the toilet every night while I get the tub running.

She hasn't actually pee'd yet, but she's getting more comfy with it. Someday.....
