Default potty training

We are attempting potty training but getting no where lol. I know kids do it on their own time and each one of them are different. Logen was potty trained at 3. Braxton is not ready

he knows after he has done it he comes to me to get changed and he will sit on the potty but only for a second. hopefully we can get this tackled these next couple of months

Good luck!

I think part of it is "their own time" and part of it is them realizing there's no other way and part of you figuring out what their "currency" is.

For my firstborn, who is 6 now, I think if I had waited for him to be "ready" I would have been stopping in to prom to change his diaper!

My second struggled soooo badly with #2. He was holding it, and it caused a lot of problems for a long time. Finally we had to give him a stool softener (per dr orders).

Brady is 18 months old, and he is already showing signs. He grabs his diaper when he goes to the bathroom, and if he's swimming naked in the pool, he won't poop until you put a diaper on him. We won't attempt to train him till about 2 years 3 months, give or take, cuz that's when our ped said they're usually starting to be ready.
Good luck!

Joseph is 2.5 and has gone pee a couple of times in the potty and will sit on it alot but he hasn't really had that breakthrough moment. We are going to focus on it exclusively for the next few months so he can be at least pee pee trained by Christmas!

I am attempting to start PTing Xavier. He's almost 21 months, and he is really good about sitting on his potty during nakie time, he just hasnt gone in it yet. When he does #2 in his diaper, he plugs his nose and says "i tink" (I stink).. So he knows when he goes, but we'll play it by ear, Im not gonna push the issue, as my oldest didnt train til closer to 3...

I tried potty training at 2 with Avery but it only worked for about 2 weeks and she was over it and done. She wouldn't use the potty. I didn't really "try" again until about 3 years and 3 months... and we started giving her a dollar for every time she went potty... and within a week she was completely trained. She has NEVER had an accident in the bed... she has had a couple accidents out and about or even here but it's ALWAYS because she is running to the potty and just can't get there or she has trouble getting her pants down. I thought she was NEVER going to but she finally did... don't give up... he will just maybe not when you want him too!
