Question Potty Training Q's....

I have read that it is normal for toddlers to "back themselves up" when they are potty training due to feeling like they have to perform and we have not been pushing the #2 in the potty. I keep telling her to just ask for a diaper if she feels like she needs to go #2. Well, she held it in for about 3 days and would walk around holding her bum, saying "I don't have to poo, I don't have to poo, only pee pee." She finally went yesterday morning. If this happens again, what should I do? Is it safe to have her eat prunes or drink prune juice to try and help her along?

My other question is about nightime training. How quickly does that need to start? We are only just now getting the hang of wearing undies all day, diapers for naps & night time. She had 2 accidents Friday after wearing undies all day at daycare with no accidents. My friend says she does not allow her dd to have any thing to drink an hour before her bed time. We eat dinner anywhere from 6-7pm and she goes to bed at 8:30. and every night, she wants & has gotten, so is used to it, a snack. Sometimes it is leftover dinner she didn't finish, other times it is crackers & cheese, or if she is being particularly good, a cookie or sharing an ice cream sandwich with Daddy. And there is of course always a drink, usually milk. I cannot see it going well if we try to stop this ritual!

So....does this mean no one has any suggestions? lol

She has not gone #2 since Sunday.....so this would be day 3 again. I am hoping she will go at my parents house today, but now she had a cold & probably won't eat much to trigger the need. You could tell last night she was holding it in again.
