  • Do you let your kids wear sandals (open toe) to school, or do you prefer they wear tennis shoes? Do they have a preference on what shoes they wear to school?

  • The school does not allow open toed shoes so sandals have never been an issue. I don't care which shoes they wear as long as they can run in them during PE.

  • We have uniforms and they have to wear white tennis shoes on PE days and then either them or leather shoes or crocs.

I'm not a fan of crocs at school so I discourage that.

  • The kids are allowed to wear sandals at Laurens' school but flip flops are not allowed. On wednesdays they're asked to wear tennis shoes because thats PE day.

Lauren is pretty easy going about shoes for school. I coordinate her shoes with her outfit, giving her a couple of choices but generally she'll wear whatever I grab for her. (Her shoes are on a high shelf in her closet! lol) We're actually getting a shoe holder for her so she can just grab them herself.

  • MWF Savannah has PE so they have to wear tennis shoes on those days...they can wear other shoes on T TH, except flip flops. She generally chooses tennis shoes on those days too, because she says that the little rocks or bark from the play ground gets in her sandals and she doesnt like that.
