Polly, it is so good to hear from you! I'm glad kindergarten is going well so far and Abigail's description makes me laugh.

Thank goodness the hospitalization wasn't for anything worse and all are ok now.

Please stick around!

Jo

Jackie, the rotovirus was horrible. Neither one threw up much, just a couple of times over the period of several hours. But they got dehydrated, BAD! Now poor Abigail, *sigh* she threw up like 3 times the first day, not much in volume. The next day she seemed fine. Wanted food and drink. We went slow. The next day when we felt like it was ok to give her stuff, she wouldn't drink. When she did drink she threw up. I took her to the doctor (with a nasty little diddy for them) and they said she wouldn't be going home that day. They threw away the diaper and said they would get a culture when she was upstairs. Well my darling never pooped the whole time we were there! But then again, no food in.... no food out. LOL sorry.
She stayed on clear liquids the whole time in the hospital. Everytime we tried to give her food food, it came back up. An xray showed slow moving intestines. This made her recovery longer than Jackson's. We did manage to upgrade to baby food before we left the hospital. What a mess that was. Then of course my darling husband didn't want us getting around ANYONE for fear of getting it again. I don't live like that. I don't know where they got it from to begin with.
and technically I was only gone 10 months and 4 days! cut me some slack, ok?? LOL

Jackson seems to be enjoying school. He bugs me everyday to do something after school but I can't ever find anyone to do anything with. Most are so ready to go once they get the kids. I need to find him some sort of after school activity. He can't join scouts until next year. We really aren't sports people. I would like to take him to a Karate/TaeKwonDo (sp) class and let him observe to see if he would like that.

Hi Tracy! I have family in Washington State.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
