  • I made a little chart, although I did not put a lot of thought into it, lol! I marked all these boxes & then realized there was 12 for each day! I have no idea if that is too many or too little, so I marked each 6th box & told dd that if she got 6 stickers for going #1 in the potty 6 times, she would get a small prize. She was with me when I picked out a bunch of $1 bin prizes at Target & I told her they were for potty training.

I placed her on the potty SEVERAL times this weekend, had her in pull ups and sometimes underwear if we weren't going anywhere. She did not have an accident while in the underwear, but did continue to use the pull-ups like they are diapers. And never went on the potty. This how a "potty train" would go:

Me: K, let's go sit on the potty.
DD: "I potty train! I potty train!" and runs to the bathroom. She can turn on the light, get her stool & potty seat situated, pull down her pants & such.
DD: "I get sticker, mommy, sticker right there" and gets off potty to show me the chart. I sit her back down.
Me: you only get a sticker if you go pee-pee in the potty.
DD: Is off the potty again; pointing at the chart, "sticker right here!" Then switches to pointing at her hands, "sticker right here mommy" I sit her back on.
DD Points to everything in the bathroom "what's that? what's that?" I answer.
DD: "I get school bus. I potty train." A small wooden school bus is one of the prizes.
Me: You only get the school bus after you go pee-pee in the potty & get 6 stickers. And I show her the chart & count to the 6th box.
DD: Off the potty, "I get sticker, right there mommy"
Me: Sit down on the potty. you only get a sticker if you go pee-pee.
DD: hears a noise out in the hall. "what's that? I go see daddy." Off the potty again.

And so on, and so on, and so on......OMG!!

  • Very cute! You might try having her go naked. The first time she pees down her leg will be an object lesson. "Oops! That's what you need to put in the potty to get a sticker."
