We Got Rid of the Binky! Ages & Stages

Well, we did it.

My daughter (who turns 3 in Feb. 09) started to get a little rash around her mouth. This may be from the binky, which she only gets when she sleeps, from some leftover ketchup on her mouth, or who knows what. Either way my wife and I decided to take advantage of the situation and we told my daughter that she was too big for her binky and that it was giving her boo-boo's. The put up a little fus but went to bed and since then asked for it for about 3 days and after that we haven't heard a word from her!

Way easier than we ever expected!

Same thing as a pacifier, a toy they suck on for comfort.

Reminds me of my mom's story about the time she was in London and someone asked her for a rubber (our slang for a condom) at the train station, and she got all embarassed!
