Smile Birthday Pictures

Ethan turned 6 today - woohoo! We just had a quiet celebration, since we just got back from two weeks in Denver at the National Jewish Medical Center where Ethan had all sorts of tests. His big present was the Jelly Bean Jumper. He has so much energy, and needed a safe outlet for jumping that he could use in the house, and not break my furniture (or his bones!) It was a huge hit! He was also excited that for the first time he actually got to bring treats to school for his birthday. Our school has a policy that all food brought in must be store bought and labeled, and in the past with all of Ethan's allergies, there was nothing to be found in the grocery store that was safe. Well he has finally outgrown a few of his food allergies, and was able to bring doughnuts to class today to share. I think that meant more to him than anything else today.

Happy birthday big handsome boy Ethan!

on outgrowing some of his allergies!!
that's awesome!!

when I was a kid,... I was so terminally jealous of the kids whose parents brought in cupcakes for the birthdays

that jumper looks like a ton of fun!!
We bought a bounce house (10x10') for the kids for christmas and it actually fits inside our formal living room space and the kids LOVE being able to jump in it in the winter to burn off all that pent up energy. I just know Ethan et al are having a GREAT time with their jumper! That tunnel looks really fun too!

I bet the best gift of all is getting rid of those food allergies! I remember he had quite the list!

The jumper looks like fun- we have a big one for outside, but it's a PITA to drag out so we don't put it up very often.

I can only imagine how Ethan feels about his food allergies... sorta like Kevin and his 'sunbutter' sandwiches because he can't have peanutbutter. He was so excited (still is) and he wants to take them constantly.
