Hindsight does stink. You were only doing what the doctors were telling you to do. You'd think they would've known better or had a better way of telling you of the side effects further down the road.

Thanks ladies.
It does still feel like I failed my DD... but logically, I know I did everything to the best of my ability.

:Hugs:

Be gentle on your self - not all decisions are clearly wrong at the time.

DS is allergic to 'cillins - we found out on the very first dose.

Remember we make the best decisions we can given the information we have at the time and can only change the future - There are many factors that cause all sorts of things to happen to our children.

Don't beat yourself up for something you couldn't control. I know lots of people allergic to penecillan who were never given heavy doses, and also people who were on antibiotics for a long time who are not allergic. Its just something that happens and Sarah may have become allergic to it even if she'd never had the ear infections.

You do the best with your kids and don't look back, cuz you can't change the past!
