Thanks - we had a great birthday

With the new baby - I caved and allowed a chuckie cheese birthday party. Only 4 friends - our rule is no more invited friends than age. Yes that may burn me in the future....

So we had a wonderful time at Chuckie Cheese - pizza, dancing and games. She loved it.
That was Sunday

On Monday it was just family. So She had 6 presents to open plus ours -- I have forgotten what a gratifying present opener DD is. She opens each one and has to fully expore it.
So she unfortunately opened one of ours -- a princess vanity kit (brush, comb, kid makeup etc) She was so excited that she went right up stairs and changed her clothes and did her hair/makeup. Gone for almost 15 min - with family waiting for her to open their gifts...
we couldn't convince her to come down stairs. So next we moved all our gifts to later and just had her open the guests' gifts. It still took almost 90 minutes to open them - each book had to be read and each puzzle put together before we could open another. Yes Christmas am takes us a long time. Fortunately it is just us so we can take as long as we want.

The family does enjoy it they know she truly loves their gifts.

It was a great birthday
