at Barbizon Modeling and Talent so they could get some acting and modelling gigs and make a few bucks on the side for their college.

So many people tell me that Andrew should be an actor....


So I took the kids to an audition at Barbizon last week. The talent scout said Andrew was 'very marketable' and that Sarah has that 'all american face that they're always looking for'.
Not that I buy it as the truth --- I think they're supposed to say that stuff.
but they didn't even want to have the kids come in for second interviews. (which I KNOW that they have most people do) so I think there is some credibility to her interest in the kids....

Portland is a pretty big place for movies these days and there are quite a few other acting gigs and lots of modeling work here....

I asked Andrew if he wanted to be an actor. He said yes with much entheusiasm. Sarah wants to too...
When DH said he didn't want them to go, he cried and cried and did his usual tantrum. DH and I talked some more about it and I'm pretty sure we're still going to go ahead and do it.

We need to land a few gigs right out of the gate and proove DH wrong!

I thought about it. I know a lady who does that & the way it works she just had to submit pics & they send her emails or text msg for jobs. I don't think Rachel has the right personality for it...she has to touch everything & get in the middle of whatever is going on. I think she'd get kicked off every job.

I know several people who did that as kids (I grew up just north of LA/Hollywood) so it's quite normal for me.

Hope they get enough work to make money for college, but not so much it drives you batty!
