Arrow I've got my own MRI scheduled

So I went to the Dr earlier this week with a big long list of grievances against my body. Yes, it was a long list.
The Dr - just as I knew he would - snickered at me and my list.

Still, I went in there with guns blazing and was ready to stake out the office and sit in protest if he didn't arrange for my own MRI.
He snickered at the idea that I myself might have a tethered cord.
Well. He can snicker all he wants. I believe - and am willing to bet money - that I have a tethered cord same as Sarah.

For the past 5 years, I have told everyone who would listen that whatever her problems are, I have them too. I have always had potty problems. Even before being pregnant.
And now my back problems have become so horrible that I'm not a functioning person anymore. I have to take advil to be able to sleep thru the night (otherwise my back wakes me up from the pain) and I've been going to a chiropractor for over 2 months (and spending many hundreds of dollars) to have the chiropractor tell me that he can't help me. He says "your back just won't move"

gee, that should be ringing bells.....

So thankfully, the Dr did arrange with the insurance company to preauthorize an MRI. I have one scheduled for next week on Wednesday.

Wish me luck. I don't know how long I'll have to wait for the reading and diagnosis - but I imagine it will be a week or less. (since it was only a couple days for Sarah's results)

I'm glad the doctor listened to you & approved an MRI & it gives some answers. Have you seen an orthopedic doctor about your back?

no. After the MRI, I'll be going that route if nothing obvious shows up in the scan.
