Thumbs down my MRI Results - I'm totally crying

http://www.thebabycorner.com/boards/...ry-380304.html

I spent several hours last night choking back the tears and looking for something I could use on the internet to help me.

I need to ask my Dr to refer me to someone... but whom?
I'm not just going to take the pain for the rest of my life.

I'd get a different opinion.

Find an Ortho who does spines as a specialty.

What about a pain management doctor? My mom (who had back problems- herniated disc, scar tissue issues) just had a series of 3 steriod injections in her spine and she's pain free 95% of the time (it still bothers her from time to time, but nothing like it was).

I'm sorry there wasn't and easier clear cut answer for what was causing the pain.

Hey Karen are you feeling any better about this?

I thought of something the chiro pointed out to me...an MRI is taken when you are laying down. Its very possible you DO have nerves being pinched when you are upright that won't show on an MRI.

yeah - the Chiro pointed that out to me but my Dr told me that he would almost guarantee that my cruddy insurance would NEVER approve a weight bearing MRI.

I'm not feeling much better about it.
I went to the chiro today, he's just as frustrated as I am, I think.
I authorized him to get my MRI results so he could have his 'guy' look at them.
I just went to my regular Dr and had more blood drawn. I think it was to look for some arthritis disease.
and I'll be calling my Dr (didn't have a chance to talk with him this morning) and insist on seeing an Orthopedic Dr (who specializes in back and maybe feet too if there is one)
and going that direction.

I can NOT just accept the answer when I know that I've got the pain I've got and it's only getting worse.

Sorry I'm late with responding Karen. I am so sorry you didn't get any answers. On a serious note with my back if I do not do back/stomach exercises I am in extreme pain. Maybe a physical therapy path might work for you. Good luck & keep us updated!!!
