  • I bought Kev a new pair of shoes from Kmart about 4 weeks ago.... maybe 6 now. He had torn them to SHREDS! There is a BIG hole in the toe where you can see his socks... so last night we got a NEW pair for him...

Aiden also got a new pair (both times as Kev) as he has LOST his shoes... they just disappeared! I can't find them anywhere! He only wore the last ones maybe 3 times??

Ash got a new pair of shoes... some lady hit her in the head with her purse (not even hard) and then felt bad so she bought her a pair of flip flops that Ash was trying to convice us to buy!! I told her that she didn't have to do that... and she's like I know, I want to! I wasn't even sure what to say....

And then Addi got 2 new pairs (size 4's) because one pair was $6 and the other was half of so $2. (the $2 ones are ADORABLE and should fit PERFECTLY in the late summer early fall.... because she has been in 3's for the last 4 months and her feet haven't grown at all!!!) (keep in mind Ash was a size 6 in her first pair of tennis shoes and that was around 9-10 months! and Kev was a size 4 at 4-6 months! so I'm not used to the tiny baby feet.)

  • I have to say that for the price of shoes, they ought to last a whole lot longer than they actually do!

but I will say, that the cheapo target shoes and those sorts... really don't last like a good Avia pair do.
I've switched to browsing the clearance aisle and buying the 'good' shoes on clearance and stock piling them because that's the only way I feel I get my money's worth with shoes these days.

  • See.. He had a new pair of Sketchers at the beginning of the year (the MUST have shoes of course!) and they lasted until about... December. My kids are neurotic when it comes to shoes, they LOVE new shoes almost more than a toy! They get so excited at the shoe store and want every pair!

That's why I go to payless at their BOGO sale! For $40 we got the boys shoes and Addi shoes..... that's including tax.

Plus their feet grow fast so the shoes normally make it as long as the size does.

  • That's why I love living near a Stride Rite Outlet- good shoes, great prices! (oh, and it helps Jacob could care less for the most part what shoes he wears ).
