Unhappy Sarah did another first in her school today.. and it's not a good thing.

today - I got a call from the school librarian today.

Sarah's class had library. This library has a strange way of handling their books. They have special 'book bags' that are plastic and have the kids names barcoded on the outside of the bags and the library books are required to stay in those bags except for when reading the books. The idea is to protect the books.

Well, today, the librarian called to say that in her 6 years of working there with this bag program... Sarah was the first.

Sarah took the bag and put it over her head.
It totally freaked out the librarian and she talked to the kindergarten teacher and then was so freaked out that she had to call me to make sure that I would talk to her about the bag incident when she got home.

how many times have I alread talked to her about not putting plastic bags over her head?!?! If I've already talked to her and the librarian did at the start of the school year... and so did the kindergarten teacher ... what makes her think that this will be the time that she actually listens??

I'm just so FRUSTRATED!

The kids keep their books in big ziplock bags here too.

I'm sure Sarah just got bored while waiting (sounds like something Jacob might do ) and found a way to distract herself. Might not be the safest thing, but...

Hopefully she's learned her lesson- maybe having the teacher and the librarian so upset by it made an impact on her.
