Default Star Wars Party Event pics

so today was the Star Wars Event at the community rec center.
(it was 1.5 hours long).
It was hysterical. I laughed so hard over and over again.

They had several 'leaders' in costumes and they split the kids up into 4 groups so they could rotate rooms and 'activities'.
All the while, a guy with a rather bad darth vadar outfit was roaming the halls and popping in on all the rooms and just goofing off and the kids were eating it up!!
He even went upstairs to the balcony where they have the fitness center and was goofing around while we were in the halls to see him up there on the stair stepper thingy.
I took a pic.

I whipped up Andrew's costume in about 1-2 hours... something like that last night. (I bought the material from walmart last night for $1 a yard) so it cost me about $3-4 in total for his costume!
For Sarah's costume, I just modified mine so that it fit her. (mostly) I chopped down the arms and cut off alot of the bottom. she loved it ... and she even loved wearing the wig!

I think at one point Andrew had died and gone to heaven

at the event, they learned how to duel with their sabers. They had a snack (goldfish and a juice bo while watching the pod races from episode 1, they made light sabers out of wrapping paper tubes, and they had a sort of dodgeball game with those small plastic ball pit balls between the kids and the parents. (adults were pretending to be on the dark side).
in the end, the kids took the balls and pelted Darth when he came in the room and it was hysterical!

here are a couple pics

I was getting a bunch of comments from other parents asking me where I got their costumes too
I told them I made the costumes and they were all very impressed. I guess a bunch of them were out searching high and low for costumes to buy for their kids for this event but of course it's not really the season and they're super hard to find. The wig for Leiah is practically impossible
I was so proud of myself..
