All the kids got 'gassed' but with general (where they intubate, etc) it wasn't just gas. (of course they didn't tell us this even though we asked, we were under the thought that it was just gas like tubes) but nope. They gave him something else along with the gas, had to intubate, and IV for those reasons.

With the gas they didn't give an IV, nor did they intubate. I swear Ashlyn was in there all of 5 minutes...

Did they warn you about stinky breath?? Aiden had STINKY breath after his aednoids were out! It was gross...

Sarah got intubated.
She looked so sad with the hose in her mouth. ( I got there just as they were taking it out) They didn't warn me about breath. But I didn't notice anything about it either.

The IV is dependant on how long they are out with the gas. Jacob didn't have to have one with his eye surgery (gas) but if we had to have the second longer one done, he would have had to have the IV even though it was still gas. Oh, and his breath was kinda stinky sweet all afternoon.

As for the tonsils, I had mine out at age 7 and don't remember it being that painful or traumatic, but it was a long time ago, so who knows. I'm sure she'll do fine.
