Post taking my troop to the beach this weekend

and I'm

I don't know why I plan these things
We're going to finish up earning our Oceanography Try-it (council's own)...

Andrew is totally psyched because he gets a 'guys weekend' with his beloved daddy.

I'm having anxiety issues because this has been one super difficult weekend to plan.
With the start up of school, the new girls in the troop, the lack of parent volunteers, my whole house has been sick with the stomach virus for 3 weeks....
I've been aggrivated with the parent volunteers this time. Usually, it's not so bad, but this time, nobody could/would commit!

I am praying that it works out and it all magically comes together.
a dozen 7-8 year olds and the ocean are just so scary, kwim?

The weather is looking somewhat good - no rain currently forecasted (but a high of 60 will make for a cold walk on the windy beach).
I called the little aquarium to see about the group discounts and the guy was so nice - I told him I wasn't sure when we were going to arrive, might be morning, might be afternoon depending on the weather because we were going to pick up garbage on the beach the other 1/2 of the day... and he said... "well, we'll give you the beach clean up rate which is free admission!"
that made me SOOO dang happy!
full price would have been $68 for admission
the girl scout rate would have been $23 for admission
but because we're cleaning up garbage, we get in FREE!!

now I have $23 we can spend on the arcades

anyway - girls, that nobody gets sick and that the weekend is successful!

Have fun! I'm sure you'll all have a blast even if it is a little cool.
Great about the free admission.
