for the kids for Father's day?

I keep forgetting that this weekend is Father's day
and I really don't know what to do.

1/2 my problem is that anything I do buy for DH, he'll just complain about because he is NOT a gracious receiver.
it drives me crazy. I remind him before his birthday and any other gift giving time that he needs to be thankful because it's the thought that counts. Not how much money you think they should or should not have spent on something you think you should or should not have received or needed.

Dh's parents are coming this weekend. I'm going to be as gone as I can be. That's my present to him. But I've only gotten a card from the kids for him too.

DH bought me a new camera for our annevsary which is next weekend and it should be here tommorrow, so we are thinking about going for a drive in the woods and taking some pics. and having a picnic, and today the kids and I made him a tshirt that says "daddy's helping hands" and it has the kids hand prints on it, and a tiny shelf they painted "#1 daddy" on for him to hang his hats on.

And the first thing kaylee told DH when he got home was "your name on it" and DH asked on what but I was able to hush her up before she told him.

We go to a local amusement park every father's day. Other than that ... nothing else planned. I got my Dad a book so far and I need to get something from the girls for him and I still have to get DH something. I hate it when they don't give me ideas to go off of. UGH!!!

The kids picked out some stuff at Target the other day- I let them pick.

Jacob got DH the game Battleship (he played it at game day the last week of school- so it's really more for Jacob than DH, but still ).

Abby couldn't decide what she wanted to give him, so she decided (after we discussed what daddy likes) that he likes his teeth and the color blue. So, she got him a new blue toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss.
