Default 36 week appt

I just got back from my 36 week appt. Everything looks great! I've gained 2 lbs of water weight in my ankles
They did the group B test and he did an internal. The internal didn't hurt a bit (surprisingly) and he said I was 50% effaced, 2 cm dilated and at a -3 station. It concerned me a bit, but he said with a third baby I'm right where he thinks I should be and he expects I'll go to 39 weeks at least. I've never been more then a fingertip dilated before going into active labor, so it concerns me with how fast my labors have been.

Oh well, no point in stressing about it. He'll come when he comes! The girls are guessing the 14th or the 22nd for his arrival date. My DH thinks the 22nd too. We'll see I guess!

We also talked about episiotomies and when he'd do one. He said he doesn't see how I'll need one unless Everett's head is huge or if he's in distress and needs to come out quickly.

Down to weekly appts now! With how much my hips/lower back have been hurting this week it feels like the last month!

Sounds like a great appt. I'd love to hear that the doc thinks no episotomy will be necessary! That would be awesome!

I know what you mean about being nervous after the internal. I've been thinking "any day now" since 35.3 weeks!

Hope you can relax and enjoy the last few weeks! Get those ankles up and drink water like you're inhaling Niagara Falls -- it will reduce your swelling.
