Default Damn Ice Storm

Sorry ladies -- I really didn't abandon you!!! I was without power from Thursday until last night. The ice storm was pretty bad. I had to drive 150 miles to meet my aunt halfway to get her generator on Saturday -- it was supposed to be T's 4th birthday party, but, of course, that was cancelled due to the power outage. Ugh!!! It's been a rough few days.

My doctor appt. from Friday was today.... I gained 0 pounds this month!!!

Gotta love having the stomach flu over Thanksgiving, I guess!!!

The doctor said I am measuring perfectly for April 12th

but she said that I have to give up my one Coke a day....

She said even if it helps my headaches it is a uterine contraction stimulant and not good for me.... Damn!!! That was my one indulgence!!!

It's going to get ugly here really soon!

Sorry for the absence! I'll go and try to catch up on all your posts now.

Why didn't I realize you were in the storm! The stories I've heard are crazy! I'm glad you were able to get a generator, but I think I would have gone the rest of the way to sack out at your relatives house that had heat! Is your family doing okay?

Hopefully things get back to normal quickly. I know that it stinks especially when PG. When I was PG with my DD the hurricanes came through with a vengeance. We were without power and it was hot! We had a generator, enough to keep our refrigerator running and a little fan to blow at us.

About the Coke, you could drink caffeine free. It really does taste just like regular. I know it won't do anything for a caffeine headache, but if its the taste you can still get that.

Everyone is fine. I would have stayed in a hotel with them for an overnight party, but I had to get the generator back before the water started rising in the basement -- no power, no sump pump....

I'm on post-adrenaline exhaustion now. Just have to make it through the storm that is coming tonight.

Thanks for the hugs!
