Hi Laura! My weekly pregnancy web update said this today:
If your nose is stuffed up, for instance, you can probably chalk it up to the combined effect of hormonal changes and increased blood flow to your mucous membranes. This condition is so common, there's even a name for it: "rhinitis of pregnancy." Some pregnant women also suffer nosebleeds as a result of increased blood volume and blood vessel expansion in the nose.
Maybe the info will help.... Did you call your doc?

Have you switched detergents or anything lately??

Hope you are feeling better soon!

I'm feeling fine! The hives itch when they show up, but they aren't constant or anything. I haven't had them for the past couple of nights. They only show up after 9 PM! I have a few little scabs on my face from my 5 day stretch of nightly hives. I haven't changed any detergents, shampoos or anything like dish soap. We don't have any pets to develop allergies towards. The only thing I've changed is carrying this little one, so I'm nearly convinced that my body is slightly allergic to this baby
It also makes me think even more that I'm carrying a boy as I never had anything like this with my girls.

The OB said to go to the ER or instacare if I experienced any difficulty breathing, but so far its only been a skin reaction with the hives. I don't feel sick or anything when it happens. Its just bizarre!

The nose bleeds are probably totally pg related. Having the cooler and very dry weather (I live in a mountain desert) probably is contributing to those along with the increased blood volume and all that pg stuffy nose stuff.
