Default Measuring large?

So, I had my checkup today with my midwife. I gained four pounds from my last appointment, which she wasn't concerned with (although I was). She took my BP and it was fine. We listened to the heartbeat, which was in the 150's.

Then, she measured me, and remeasured me. Then she asked me if I could be wrong on my dates. I said no, and asked if I was measuring large. She said I was measuring at 18 instead of 17. Now, that's not much so I wasn't worried, but she seemed to wonder (which makes me worry).

Anyway, I should be getting an US in two weeks. I guess we'll just wait and see what's in there. I was worried because we've always said (casually) how we were going to top each child. When we had our first everyone commented on how cute/handsome he was. Then we got PG with our second and wondered how we were going to top the first. Well, we had a beautiful curly redheaded girl. Now we wondered how we were going to top her, and everyone's response is twins!

I actually hope not, but I'll take what I get.

For a singleton.

I had a appt today instead of Thurs due to work and when he measured my belly, he said I was measuring almost two weeks ahead...according to his original date i should be almost 16 weeks and i am measuring 18. but, like your doctor, he didnt seem really concerned.

I hope for one big healthy baby in there for you!

My bp is like yours and it always alarms me while pg that its so high its "normal"

Its never been a cause for concern even late in my pg and I've delivered healthy full term 7 lb babies and went into labor on my own at 39 weeks.

I wonder if this could be a 3rd pg thing Erin? I've always measured small. Up to a month behind! This one I feel like I'm going to measure big though. I won't know though until they start measuring me

I hope there is just one in there for you!

Laura

I'm measuring a bit on the bigger size, but I think it's just that this is not the first and I'm not in good shape at all.

Twins sounds exciting.... I hope it goes the way you want!!!
