  • Since I have GD again, I am not allowed to go past 40 weeks. So we had to go ahead and schedule the c-section. My due date is June 3rd, but they are really booked up at the end of this month, but they found a spot for me on June 1st. It was kind of depressing making that appt. I really hope Garrett decides to come before then b/c I really wanted to try for a VBAC. I mean, I know he very well could....no one thinks I am going to make it past the 27th/28th area by the looks of me...which means nothing b/c I looked the same w/dd & had a c-section at 39 weeks and had not gone into labor on my own before then. But making that appt seems so...final. Like I am risking it b/c he could very well come on his own the day after if we didn't have the schedule it. But its one of those things you can't plan for and will never no what could have happened, ya know?

  • ... will they not induce you as a vbac at your hospital?

  • Nope- inducing is not recommended for VBAC's. At least that is what I've read and what all my doc's say. I don't really want to be induced anyways.

  • VBACs aren't recommended technically... however they are done all the time. We induce VBACs at our hospital... there are more specific guidelines for it but we do it and most of the time it turns out successful.

It's so strange how the different hospitals work...
