would you use a carseat that was previously used 8 months ago?

We have a black britax companion that we bought new and used with dd. she was such a big girl that she outgrew it around 4 months (she is now 12 months) ...ever since then it has been in the box in the garage.

I asked the safety officer who does carseat installs at work and he tells me i could use it, but maybe check to see if there have been any recalls or any issues with that seat since i last used it.



what would you do?

I would do the safety recall check and if its all clear then I would go ahead and use it.(as long as it's not girly)
 

Then again I do like to baby shop....

I would. I think most of them have an "expiration date" on them somewhere. Check for recalls and I think you're good.
