  • My daughter Zara is almost 9 months old and isn't crawling yet. I'm so worried about her. The dr. Says she might not crawl, that she might go right into walking. She can stand with help for about 30 seconds so I know it's not her legs. I have learning disabilities and struggled my whole life because of it. I'm worried that she may have learning disabilities and maybe that's why she isn't crawling. Does anyone have a child that never crawled or have a child with learning disabilities? If you have a child with learning disabilities, when did you first notice or start to have concern?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much.

    to The Baby Corner.

I have three children and they started crawling anywhere from 7-14 months. Every child is different and meets "milestones" at different times. Crawling isn't one of those "milestones" that will determine learning abilities later in life. We, as parents, look at crawling as something important and cute but it truly isn't key to development.
