I took beginning piano 25 yrs ago and I'm looking for a song I was able to play. It was easy enough for a beginner and I know its by one of the classical composers (maybe Bach?). Can you can think of any easy classical pieces? (Its not Fur Elise.)

It is Minuet in G by Bach and I was also mixing it up with that Christmas song with "Gloooo--ooorr--i--aaa"

Glad you figured it out. That kind of stuff drives me batty.

I took piano lessons late in life (10th grade-12th) and never really got that good, but I do miss playing.

Do you still play? I keep finding used pianos on Craigslist but then chicken out thinking of the moving/tuning costs. Someday! :-)

I don't really know how to play. I took one semester in college and about 20 yrs ago we got 3 free lessons when we bought a keyboard. If I stare at it long enough I can figure out the notes of an easy song but I cannot do the left hand part unless it is a simple repetitive chord.

We have an 80 yr old piano that has been in storage. DH bought it and was going to rebuild it but never had time. Its finally made it into the living room and my kids want to play so I've been trying to find easy songs until I can find them a teacher. I found somebody to repair and tune it. He told me $150 over the phone and then after looking & giving me a list of what he will do he said he'd quoted $150 so that is what he will charge. He's been here 7 hrs and will be back tomorrow. He's an old retired man so time isn't an issue for him. I got really lucky finding him!

I took lessons from 2nd grade-11th... I still play once in awhile but I don't have a piano here other than a dinky little keyboard that doesn't work all that great. Someday I'll get my piano from my Dad's though, I'm hoping for soon!
