want to be friends and share books?

My kids friends got e-readers for Christmas and all but one of them got Kindles. The little guy who got a Nook is having trouble finding anyone to share books with.

What is the difference, and is the Kindle just cheaper or something?

I have been thinking of getting one so I can just rent my text books for school and not have to buy the hard copies and lug them around campus.

Nicole, if you do make sure the school's ebook site is supprted by Knidle. The head of my department goot a Kindle fire and the program for downloading the ebooks won't work on it. Your librarian or tech support person at the school would be the best source for this information.

I think it boils down to your preferences and they are not much different. I have a B&N account. Brent and I both love (and Braedon) love to go to the actual book store and browse the rows of books. I personally like having someone in person that will help me instead of a tech support over the phone and I will say that B&N has a great staff they helped answer all sorts of questions and were just wonderful.
 


Also the Nook has better graphics and we play games as well as movies on it. We can use the library to download books and other free sites all you need is the Adobe add on for your PC which is free also.
 
And they are coming out with all sorts of new apps and expanding their partnerships with other companies this year.
