A Bed Frame Question

  • I want a bed frame that DOESN'T stick out AT ALL (or very very little) from the mattress.

NO headboard... NO footboard. I basically just want the mattress raised a little bit off of the floor. I don't want anything sticking out from the sides of the bed either...

I have basically ONE place to put Dh/my bed in our room... and the *$#%& metal frame thing we have doesn't allow me to PUSH the bed into the corner... it's a good 5-8" away from one wall and about 2-3" away from the other. (there is a headboard-type-thing on this frame... which CAN'T be removed without tearing apart the whole frame.)

It's been driving me crazy for over a year now... it's just low on the priority list & I keep on forgetting to DO anything about it!

  • well, any standard metal frame will satisfy that - they cost about $20-25.
heck you can probably find a free one on craigslist or freecycle if you look

  • Geezzz... is that all??

Not being frustrated is totally worth my $25...

  • my husband built my son a bed that is flush to the walls....

    sort of like this --

He built it with open areas and baskets not the drawers.... He used plywood and it is painted white -- super cute and only about $100 to build.
