never went shopping on that day, we have a different tradition. my 2 sisters, a girlfriend of ours and i we try and go to toronto on that day, havent been able to for a couple years now.
we leave here about 8 am, toronto is about 100 miles from here and we can make it in about an hour. we always stop at the same tim hortons for breakfast. when we get to toronto we go to the eaton center mall and depending on what the exchange rate on money is decides
if we shop.
if we dont shop we hang out at the mall, go to the Godiva chocolate shop and buy expensive candies, at home id never pay $8 for a chocolate covered strawberry but we do there. we basically people watch at the mall, talk about the way people are dressed, and
if the buffalo sabres hockey team has a better record then the maple leafs or
if the sabres recently beat toronto we look for people in leas jerseys and hassle them.
we always eat lunch at the hard rock cafe then head up to greek town for a bit, walk around and listen to the greek men talk about
us as we walk by then tell them in greek we understand them and keep stepping.
finally we head back down the qew and stop at the casino for some gambling.
we always have a great time and so far havent gotten in trouble, arrested or denied entry at the border
we really need to go again but i have to work that day this year
