  • 'Splain please. I understand if somebody is ill or having chemo, but what about autoimmune disorders such as MS or RA? If a person has one of those are they considered to have a compomised immune system - or is that a whole different thing?

  • My husband has MS. The disorder itself doesn't compromise his immune system, but the injections he gives himself do suppress his immune system, so he has to have all the vaccines.

  • And RA also does not suppress the immune system, but I believe some of the drugs used to treat it do, so I guess the long way around is people who have those conditions and treat them with regular medication do have suppressed immune systems.
