Default Congestion

I am going to post this here and in my playgroup but Shelby has some horrible congestion. This is just day 2 and it is clear and she has no fever but she is really having a hard time eating because she can't breathe. Any suggestions?

I have no idea. Sounds like she might need an antihistime to dry it up some. I'd probably call the nurse / Dr.

Alexa has had a head cold/stuffiness since the end of June. She is the same as Shelby.. it sounds horrid.. so I try to do the saline drops and then suction her.. that helps.

If it's bad enough to affect her eating, I'd probably call the Dr and see if they wanted me to bring her in. If they DIDN'T want me to bring her in, I'd ask what they suggested I do!!

I'd put the humidifier as CLOSE to her crib as possible and keep it ON all night & during naps (safety first of course... not close enough that she can grab it or it could fall on her etc).
I always shove a thick book under the head of the mattress (What To Expect The First Year always worked well
