Default Crib-to-daybed question

My daughter will be 2 next month. We have a crib that converts to a day bed, then to a full size headboard/footboard. We are ready to convert it to the daybed, and I don't know what type of bedding I need. Regular twin size sheets & comforters (and also daybed bedding sets) look to be way too big, and but the crib bedding I have doesn't have a top sheet or pillow case and the "comforter" it came with is too small to be used with a day bed. I can't be the only one who has ever ran across this problem!! What size do I buy? Or do I put the daybed in the attic for now and just go buy a toddler bed? Does the crib mattress fit a toddler bed or do I have to go buy a new mattress? And will twin size bedding fit a toddler bed - even though a toddler bed is much smaller than a traditional twin size bed?

well, the daybed just means you'll have one of the sides of the crib removed... so you'll be using crib sheets still.
Once you remove the rest of it, buy yourself a new mattress and just use the 'headboard' from the original crib for the full sized bed, THEN you can buy the sheets for the new mattress that you buy.

I've seen really cute toddler sets at Babies R Us, etc.... but I'd save the purchase of a new bedding set for when you get the twin/full mattress.

Good Luck!

All the crib stuff should still fit it since you are really just taking off one of the sides. You can buy toddler bedding that would fit it also. To answer your other question, yes a crib mattress is what you put in a toddler bed.
