  • Unfortunately we get stuff through out the year. We go to Goodwill a lot and so we buya lot of small toys (usually little cars or stuff like that) and games and books or puzzles too (b/c Douglas always memorizes the puzzles and then they are not challenging enough for him, even the harder ones!)

We HAVE to stop though b/c our house is becoming over run with toys! It's horrible!

They do get stuff at Christmas though too.

  • I shop year round too. Big stuff (over $25) is generally reserved for birthdays or Christmas unless it's some kind of big milestone type event.

We are over run with toys too- we've been attempting to get rid of what they don't play with anymore and try to be smarter about what we buy them- things that will grow with them or that are more education than just "play". KWIM?

As for books- we buy those whenever we see one we want.
I LOVE reading and now that Jacob can read by himself, he's LOVING it.
