Do you have fancy address labels?

  • I was thinking of ordering the labels that have caricature faces on them, one for each family member. I found a cheap website for them where you can customize a bunch of faces and add names. I was going to make them with dh, me, baby and dog. I ordered business cards from there and a lot of people I know have too, so I trust the site.

Then I started to get weirded out. Should all of my outgoing mail have my baby's first/last name on it? Should I even be putting it out there that there is a baby here (or that there will be in a few weeks).

Am I crazy? What does anyone else think?

  • well, I've never really thought about the 'safety' issue.
supposedly, the mail is only seen by authorized letter carriers and handlers and the recepient (and sender of course) so it should be pretty safe (unless you live in South Africa for instance where the postal service is known to be corrupt)

But I don't spend the money on such frivolities.
I do print my own return labels on the computer and I add little pictures to them for christmas and whatnot here and there. Usually, though, it just says
    The Yorks
    and my address

  • I use the sticky labels sent to me by charities. I will send $$ to a few of the charities, but not all.
I do love the labels, though....
