  • Do you save your child's birthday cards??? I'm trying to organize the kids's scrapbooks into some sort of order (a far cry from the beautiful scrapbook pages i used to make) and I'm wondering if they'll appreciate them or throw them in the garbage.

  • I let the kids save them until I find them around the house and then I toss them.

Going thru my MIL's stuff - One of the things my MIL saved was cards with the envelope & date/occasion written on the envelope. We have found boxes of them!

  • just the first year birthday cards.
    All the others got recycled.

Our 'memory' box is only so big

when they start school, they'll come home with a paperbox's size worth of 'keepsake' momentos you'll wanna keep each year and will have to decide exactly what you can make room for and what you can't.

for me, cards aren't one of them

  • Nope... I keep a hand selected few each year. I always keep the one I give each child because I write something special in it for them and I keep one here and there if it's got special meaning (like the ones from my Dad and now he's gone).
