Watching A Baby Story, some of the real parts of labor I'd forgotten are all coming back to me....

1) How long were you in labor?
2)Did you have pitocin?
3) Did you get an epidural?
4) How long did you push?
5) Did your baby have a conehead?
6) Did you cry? Did your SO cry?
7) Did your SO cut the cord?
8) Who was in the room with you?

1) How long were you in labor? 16 hours total with Marek, 6 hours total with Lukas
2)Did you have pitocin? No
3) Did you get an epidural? Yes with Marek. No time with Lukas.
4) How long did you push? 45 minutes with Marek, not at all with Lukas (in fact, the nurse was holding him in hoping the doctor would get there in time).
5) Did your baby have a conehead? Yep, both of them.
6) Did you cry? Did your SO cry? Funny thing is, I cry when I see a birth on TV, but I didn't cry when either of my own kids were born. I was just really really happy and excited.
7) Did your SO cut the cord? That big chicken? Heck no!
8) Who was in the room with you? With Marek, just dh, the doctor, and our friend who is a labor & delivery nurse. With Lukas, just dh, our nurse friend, and our friend's daughter (when we called her to tell her we were headed to the hospital, she asked if her daughter could come and watch).

1) How long were you in labor? DS-45 minutes, DD1-14 hours, DD2-5 hours (I think)
2)Did you have pitocin? nope
3) Did you get an epidural? no
4) How long did you push? DS-maybe 5 minutes, DD1-around 5 minutes, maybe a few more, DD2-about 2 minutes bc it hurt too much NOT to push lol
5) Did your baby have a conehead? no
6) Did you cry? Did your SO cry? DS-no, DD1-a little, DD2-a little DH did not cry
7) Did your SO cut the cord? no, I kinda wish he would have, but he doesn't like that kinda thing

8) Who was in the room with you? just dh and the medical staff that needed to be there. DS was 5 weeks early, so there were a few more people in there with him than there were with the girls

2)Did you have pitocin? Yeah... just a smidge
3) Did you get an epidural? Oh Yes!
4) How long did you push? 45 minutes
5) Did your baby have a conehead? No
6) Did you cry? Did your SO cry? I did not... but Mike did!
7) Did your SO cut the cord? Yes he did!
8) Who was in the room with you? Just my doctor, nurse--a friend I work with, nursery nurse--another friend I work with, and Mike.

1) How long were you in labor? 16 hours...ugh!

4) How long did you push? 2 hours
5) Did your baby have a conehead? no
6) Did you cry? Did your SO cry? yes and yes
7) Did your SO cut the cord? yes
8) Who was in the room with you? just hubby

Nicole
1) How long were you in labor? around 8 hours
2)Did you have pitocin? yes
3) Did you get an epidural? yes
4) How long did you push? 30 minutes
5) Did your baby have a conehead? no
6) Did you cry? Did your SO cry? yes and yes
7) Did your SO cut the cord? no b/c baby swallowed her waste(forget the name of it) and wanted to get it out asap.
8) Who was in the room with you? just hubby

Interesting b/c with my first my water broke, but wasnt dialating at all and my second was having contractions and the dr's had to break my water...lol

Both were born on Saturday.
