Default melatonin

My 9 month old has started waking up every hour during the night again.. I looked it up and it could be due to teething and\or separation anxiety, etch.. he is EXHAUSTED (and so am I)! Someone told me to give him a little melatonin at night.. is this safe? Has anyone tried this?

Just ask the pediatrician but for me, I would not be giving my child this kind of supplement. I would rather be safe than sorry.
