That's good to know! I will point it out, just to be on the safe side, since we are going to the specialist anyway.

And STILL the dang "boot" thing isn't there! I'm getting really frustrated and sick and tired of dealing with this Dr!

Anyway, I'm thinking that since I've been calling ALMOST daily since they told me it was supposed to be in, I'll call again Monday and whether the boot is there or not, trying to see if I can go in anyway to get her hips checked out. The more I read and the more I compare her legs/butt creases to the ones in the pictures, the more concerned I get that this could be hip dysplasia. And if it IS hip dysplasia, it's kind of a time sensitive thing to get it taken care of! The older she gets, the worse the treatment to fix the problem! I doubt Urgent Care would do much (besides MAYBE calm my fears and get the ball rolling a couple days sooner), so I suppose I should just wait until Monday.

Do you feel any popping or clicking when you move her legs to change her diapers? Both of my kids had to had extensive screening for it since dh had it as a baby and it runs on my side too. I know the main symptom is the popping/clicking when rotating the leg around the hip joint. The ped and specialists would check for it at every visit for the first year or so for both kids and each kid had a hip sonogram at a few weeks old. Dh had to wear a brace for a few months as an infant, but has had no lasting issues with his hips 35 years later.

There's no popping or clicking or any of that, but I've read that's not always one of the symptoms. I've been reading more and more and loooking at pictures. Her legs/butt match the pictures about exact! Oneleg is chubbier than the other and the creases under her bum don't line up. The only thing missing is the popping/clicking! I just hope and pray that I'm wrong.

Good luck. I bet if you call the ped or an ortho they will be able to help you figure it out. The sono was super easy and the tech was able to tell us how the hips looked right away.
I don't know if she is still around the boards, but Tracy's daughter (from the UK?) was treated for hip dysplasia.
