Being the mother of FOUR 'illiget' babies
you need to do what is right for YOU AND YOUR FIANCE! Don't let anyone sway you in what you want to do.

Personally I would hate a wedding where I got eloped and then married at a more 'official' ceremony later (I find that dumb and redundant) and getting married for pregnancy is very disturbing to me too...

I don't consider my children illeget, I've been with their father for 8+ years (and we aren't married for a huge list of issues)

The only difference we had was (in Ohio) if you aren't married the father signs an affidavit that says he is the father. And 2.. if you want to be listed in the local paper, the mother AND father have to go down and show ID AND SAY it is correct.

Again, I'm not out to marry someone because SOMEONE ELSE thinks I should... I love my fiance dearly, and have been together longer than any of his brothers (one who has been married 3 times in the last 8 years) and marriage will not change how we treat, love, act, and live together (everything is in both of our names as it is)

And in Ohio the brithcertificate form I could have wrote Smith instead of their last name. I just went with my fiance's last name, as he is the father (heck what child from a divorced and remarried mother has the same last name??) Seriously..
I had NO issues, what so ever (as long as he signed the affidavit.. in not then Ohio has a mandatory Genetic Test)

It's a very personal issue... and one that you should BOTH be in agreement on!!

Good luck with your decision!
